Sony is stubbornly refusing to allow cross-play with its chief rival, probably because the PS4 has such a huge lead over the Xbox One. The only exception to this is PS4 and Xbox One. What makes Fortnite different from a game like PUBG is its unique building mechanics. This pushes players closer and closer together until a final showdown ensues. If you're caught out in the storm, you die. As the match progresses, it's constricted by an encroaching storm.
Players drop into the map where they find weapons and gear to help them win the match. The game is colorful and cartoony, reminiscent of Pixar films, and has no blood or gore. It's a 'battle royale' style game where 100 players drop onto a huge map and then fight to the death with the last player standing winning a Victory Royale.
